Release date Hearts of Stone for The Witcher 3 revealed

The Witcher 3 expansion Hearts of Stone has a release date. CD Projekt RED has announced the Witcher 3 DLC will be released on October 13th.

Besides more than 10 hours of gameplay, Hearts of Stone will also offer a new Runewords system which will significantly affect gameplay. The in-game mechanics will be influenced by each Rune word differently.

Hearts of Stone will also offer new weapons, monsters, characters, and a new story-line (including more romancing).

Hearts of Stone is directly playable

You will need to to have Geralt leveled up to level 30 or higher to play Hearts of Stone. You can play the DLC no matter how far in the story you are. If you’ve already finished The Witcher 3 then you can just start playing the DLC as well. Also if you have just started again, using New Game Plus, you can immediately start playing this expansion.

The second DLC for The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine, will be released in Q1 of 2016 and will be even bigger than this one.

The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 13 October.
