During the E3 of 2013 we already saw bits of The Division. It got delayed many times, but Ubisoft has finally given us a release date. The Division will come out March 8th, 2016.

During the E3 2015, Ubisoft showed us a new trailer and a gameplay demo. In the latter you see a team mate turning against his team. This way he gets more loot, but obviously his friends won’t be happy. Watch the gameplay demo:

Unlike normal shooters, Tom Clancy’s The Division is an MMO with RPG elements. You are part of the division, which is a group developed around Operation Dark Winter. This was just a simulation to see how the world would be like in winter, but somehow the simulation became real.

The Division WeirdGamerAlthough the game has RPG elements, you do not have to talk to NPC’s to get a new mission. Your objectives are shown on your map the whole time. You pick which ones you want to play.

So far, we’ve only seen Ubisoft personnel play it, so it remains to be seen how many douchebags you’ll find on each server.

The Division will have an open beta which will start in the beginning of next year. Xbox One owners can already play in December.

The Division will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on March 8th, 2016.
